All proceeds directly fund community service projects here in the Midlands! This past year the New Brookland Lions Club was able to complete a playground for handicapped children in Guinyard Park, construct a privacy fence around a women's and children's shelter in Lexington County, provide Christmas gifts and dinners to families and children affected by HIV, in addition to supporting a health screening unit that travels to area schools to provide eye and hearing tests to children of the Midlands. Free eye exams and glasses for those who cannot afford these services and products are also provided.
